Dr. Hans Bouwknegt - senior consultant at 3Rivers - is a specialist in the field of digital media with a strong focus on the crossovers between data and creativity. Hans consults for broadcasters, production houses and investors on their digital strategies and has extensive experience in leading the development of tangible digital media products, services and platforms. He is an active entrepreneur in the fields of digital media and Extended Reality (XR) and is research affiliate of the Augmented Environments Lab of the Georgia Institute of Technologies in Atlanta, USA.
Prior to his work for 3Rivers, Hans was advisor digital strategy at Dasym Investment Strategies, Talpa Media Holding and UNSense, among others. Next to that, he was Professor (lector) Cross Media Business at the University of Applied Science Utrecht (HU) and Professor (lector) Digital Media Concepts at BUAS in Breda. In this capacity, Hans led several research consortia and the development of two master's programs in the fields of media, data and creativity. Hans graduated summa cum laude on the PhD thesis ‘Beyond the Simulacrum’ on concept development for digital media.
